Currently interested gamers can fully play the Test version of Hyper Scape on their PC.
Last week, Ubisoft unexpectedly revealed the first details of a first-person shooter Battle Royale game set in a completely free cyber future, called Hyper Scape. The new game has fast gameplay, large maps, current context and and countless interesting possibilities that can strongly impact the gameplay of gamers. Hyper Scape is coming to Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4, but the game is currently being tested on PC platforms.
Hyper Scape is a Battle Royale game including up to 99 players, gamers can join a team of 3 or alone through solo play mode. Similar to other Battle Royale games, 99 players will be dropped on an extremely large map, picking up items and fighting to see who is the last survivor.
In Hyper Scape, players will only be allowed to pick up a maximum of 2 weapons and two “Hacks”. Hacks are abilities that players can pick and customize for their characters, such as the ability to heal wounds to turn themselves into a giant ball that can bounce around an area. Hyper Scape has no items like blood, armor, grenades or vehicles like other Battle Royale titles.
The death in Hyper Scape is also very different from the usual Battle Royale games, when the player dies, the player will continue to be able to participate in the match but in the form of a ghost called Echo who can wander around the world, scout enemies for teammates and many other abilities. After death, players will drop a revival card, which can be used by teammates to revive dead players at any time, similar to Apex Legends.
During the presentation, Ubisoft confirmed that Hyper Scape would have various events occurring throughout the game such as modified gravity and infinite ammunition. This will help change the gameplay because players will have to adapt to these changing conditions quickly. Many “realistic” Battle Royale games out there can’t give players this feeling, because Hyper Scape takes place in a virtual world, everything is possible.
There are two ways to win a match in Hyper Scape. The first way involves killing others, and the second way is to hold the “Crown” for 45 seconds. When the last few players survived on the map and many city areas have been closed, a Crow will be spawned. When a Crow is picked up, the player can win even without killing any players at all.
